Flyfishing Whitsundays

Flyfishing the Whitsundays region covers the group of islands to the east of Airlie Beach extending north to Bowen. There are a range of flats flyfishing options here from targeting golden trevally and giant trevally to the very unique and hard pulling tusk fish. The inshore bluewater water here has some great flyfishing for tuna, both mack and longtail. Inland from the coast there are dams where you can flyfish for enormous freshwater barramundi.
